National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors

Horological Science Chapter #161

Purpose:

The purpose of this Chapter is to foster informal communications among those interested in the technical aspects of horology. Our goals are primarily educational. The emphasis of the chapter is to publish Science based horological articles that are: too technical for publication in the larger periodicals, a work in progress that is desiring peer review, or horological research that is offered for all to consume. Member contributed articles are the life blood of our newsletter.

Horological Science Newsletter:

The newsletter is published 5 times a year. Typically, it includes notes or articles regarding results of experiments, concepts, technical questions and solutions, mathematical analysis, references to other publications, etc.. No advertising is accepted, although sources of materials and equipment, etc., for experimentation may be mentioned.

MEETINGS:

We generally meet two times a year. Once at the NAWCC National Convention, and the second is at the NAWCC Seminar. Meetings are not the emphasis of this chapter.
