Welcome !

This is the web site for NAWCC Chapter #161 - Horological Science. Our interest is the study and distribution of information about the science of horology. The site is "under construction" - with many "place holders" for intended content.

Horology:

The art, science and practice of time measurement, provided the use of some device is entailed. Thus the use of the motion of the celestial bodies for time determination is not horology but astronomy. From - Britten's Watch & Clock Maker's Handbook Dictionary and Guide - 16th Edition revised by Richard Good copyright 1987.
